Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)
Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) is an eating disorder characterized by limited food intake due to fear, anxiety, or sensory sensitivities. This can lead to significant weight loss, nutritional deficiencies, and difficulty functioning in daily life. Unlike anorexia nervosa, ARFID is not primarily driven by a desire to control weight or body image.
