Rachel Laufer, Clinical Intern

Rachel Laufer is a second-year Master of Social Work student at the Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University, completing her clinical field practicum at Brave Psychology. During her first-year placement, Rachel supported adults and children impacted by the incarceration of a family member, an experience that deepened her interest in working with children and parents to build resilience, strengthen communication, and navigate family challenges together.
Prior to pursuing her MSW, Rachel practiced law and spent more than three decades in nonprofit leadership. At Brave Psychology, she looks forward to deepening her training in evidence-based child and parent therapy while drawing on her clinical training and professional experience.
My Philosphy
I believe children and families have strengths they can draw upon, even during difficult times. I strive to create a supportive environment where children and parents feel heard and empowered to build resilience and navigate challenges together.
My Approach
I am developing my skills in evidence-based child and parent therapy through my clinical training at Brave Psychology, while drawing on my professional experience to support children and families.
